This month we'd like to share a short promotional video by one of the featured speakers at the upcoming virtual LIC Annual Meeting & Marketing Conference, February 3-4, 2021.
Ken Gronbach is a nationally recognized author, expert and futurist in the field of Demography and Generational Marketing who has been able to forecast societal, commercial, economic, cultural and political phenomena with uncanny accuracy. His unusual blend of marketing savvy and common sense demography, based on twenty years of proprietary demographic study, set him apart.
In his video, he invites us to "Imagine, we will all be seeing each other in person again." We certainly look forward to that, and look forward to hearing more from Ken at our meeting in February!

Fraudshare Marks One-Year Milestone
LL Global, the parent company of LIMRA, LOMA, and Secure Retirement Institute® (SRI®), celebrated in October the one-year anniversary of FraudShare, a shared industry solution to help financial services companies better detect and prevent account takeover attempts. FraudShare will soon cover companies representing 75% of the in-force U.S. life insurance market, 70% of deferred annuity assets and 30% of the U.S. defined contribution plans market.

KBRA Affirms A- Rating for Catholic Financial Life
KBRA announced in December 2020 that it has affirmed the insurance financial strength rating (IFSR) of A-, with a Stable Outlook, of Catholic Financial Life, America's second largest Catholic fraternal membership society. The rating reflects CFL's strong capitalization, conservative balance sheet, solid membership base, steady statutory earnings, M&A expertise and diversified business mix.

Gleaner Life Promotes Golden and Linden
Gleaner Life Insurance Society has announced the recent promotion of two department vice presidents, Anthony D. "Tony" Golden and Jaime Linden. Golden was promoted to senior vice president of sales. Linden, who oversees the Member and Community Engagement Department (formerly known as the Fraternal Department), was elevated from assistant vice president.

Catholic Financial Life Announces Leadership Succession Plan
Bill O'Toole remains CEO, John Borgen promoted to President
Catholic Financial Life announced that CEO Bill O'Toole will remain at the helm of the fraternal insurance organization in 2021, while transferring his role as president to John Borgen, who was promoted from his current position of senior vice president effective January 1, 2021.

KBRA Affirms Rating for ELCO Mutual
In December 2020, KBRA affirmed the insurance financial strength rating (IFSR) of BBB-, with a Stable Outlook, of ELCO Mutual Life and Annuity, a life insurance and annuity company based in Lake Bluff, Illinois.

Stonehocker Appointed President of Kemper Life
Kemper Corporation announced that Tim Stonehocker has joined the company as President of Kemper Life, effective December 15, 2020. Stonehocker will report to Erich Sternberg, President of Kemper's Life & Health Division, and will be based at Kemper's headquarters office in Chicago.

MRS and Liberty Bankers Insurance Group Unite to Modernize Processes
Management Research Services, an industry leader in developing and delivering customized digital and automation solutions, recently led efforts to streamline new business and underwriting processes for Liberty Bankers Insurance Group. Ultimately, MRS noted, they "served as a conduit for LBIG to modernize their processes from a manual process to a data-driven workflow."

ELCO Mutual Adds National Sales Directors of Preneed
As of January 1, 2021, Jim Palm and Julie Palm were named the National Sales Directors of Preneed for ELCO Mutual Life and Annuity. Jim and Julie will oversee the Preneed division's growth and ensure ELCO Mutual's standard for exceptional service to their partner funeral homes.
