Aflac Adds Consumer-Directed Final Expense and Med Supp
Aflac has announced the introduction of two new consumer-directed products: Aflac Final Expense Whole Life Insurance and Aflac Medicare Supplement Insurance. These products, underwritten by Aflac subsidiary Tier One Insurance Company, are part of a robust portfolio of supplemental coverage options for those unable to access Aflac products through the workplace. Aflac's consumer markets portfolio of individual insurance products is available through Aflac Tier One distribution partners and direct to consumers at Aflac.com.

Kemper to Sell Reserve National to Medical Mutual of Ohio
Kemper Corporation has agreed to sell Reserve National Insurance Company and its subsidiaries, which are predominantly focused on accident and health insurance, to Medical Mutual of Ohio for $90 million. The transaction is subject to regulatory approval and other closing conditions with an expected closing in late 2022 or early 2023.

Help Protect Our Families Campaign Focuses on Middle-Income Market
The August focus of the Help Protect Our Families Campaign is on middle income consumers. While middle-income Americans are more likely than the general population to have life insurance (52% versus 50%), nearly 4 in 10 middle-income Americans - representing 29 million adults - believe they don't have enough coverage. LIMRA and the American Council of Life Insurers are conducting a LinkedIn LIVE Event August 24 at 1:00 p.m. ET, on how the industry can better engage and educate those consumers to help get the coverage they needs.

National Guardian Life Insurance Company, a Madison-based mutual life insurance company, announced the sale of Settlers Life Insurance Company, a Wisconsin domiciled insurer, to Everly Holdings, LLC, the owner of Everly, LLC, a direct-to-consumer insurance agency.

National Guardian Life Insurance Company, in refreshing its 58-year-old headquarters in Madison, WI, partnered with "The Hip Hop Architect" Michael Ford to create a custom artwork installation using NGL's diversity, equity and inclusion pledge.
