LDEx Standards Community,

We are pleased to announce that the LDEx Benefits Configuration Management (BCM) 1.0 Standard is ready for industry utilization and has been made freely available on the Standards Download page at limra.com/LDEx. All that is needed to download the package is a LIMRA.com login.

 

This initial release of the LDEx BCM Standard marks a transformative step forward in the workplace benefits industry. By supporting automated case configuration and standardized data delivery, the standard's data structure empowers carriers, brokers, and technology providers to streamline case builds, reduce manual intervention, and accelerate implementation timelines. This industry-leading approach leverages schema-driven integration, version control, and enhanced interoperability setting a new benchmark for benefits data exchange.

Furthering industry advancement leveraging modern API architecture, the LDEx BCM Standard Industry Release includes new REST compliant API endpoints, available in OpenAPI 3.1. These optional endpoints are supplied to help quickly set up delivery methods leveraging API data transmissions between trading partners. This functionality will enable the industry in moving towards real-time/near real-time enrollment and change management processing.
